Doing A Kind Deed

Last night, I was once again reminded that sometimes doing a kind deed for the wrong type of person can be a bad thing. I don't mind doing things for people. I really honestly don't but I don't like having to repeatedly do it over and over and over again. It would be one thing if the person were like the kids that I work with but not everyone has the difficulties that my kids have. Hence, people need to get off their asses and do for themselves once in while. So I'm ask this question to you, is wrong not help people? What do you think?

The Slaying At The Holocaust Museum

Is anyone else greatly bothered by the slaying at the Holocaust Museum? It just proves how ugly bigotry can be. For those who don't believe in the Holocaust, I would like to know what the heck is this video. I suppose you think that it's some BIG TIME Hollywood hoax. READ MY LIPS, these pictures are not fake. One of the biggest bigots in our history carried out this horrid, disgusting event in human history. Genocide sickens me and Hitler isn't the only one sick freak who has carried out this sickness.

I think it's pretty sick that this 88 year old freak had the balls to attack the Holocaust museum. I think it's pretty much a given that it was linked to white supremacist's hatred. Come on get real! I think it's awesome that the museum was closed and also lowered the flag to half-staff. It says a lot about the good people of America. I am glad that the schoolchildren and others were not hurt. I am deeply sorry to the family of John.

How Many Animals Are In The Zoo Now?

Yes dear readers, that was the answer that came to me today from a dear friend. Well, let me just say, that this huge massive interest in bugs or more correctly arthropods started in my childhood. However, I didn't get my first pet bugs when I was in my mid twenties. I got my first tarantula at about the same age. That first set of bugs were 3 hissing cockroaches. They lead the way for tarantulas, crabs, giant millipedes, giant centipedes, more hissign roaches, death's head cockroaches, scorpions, and of course the ever popular tarantulas. So now that you know all of that, how many animals now reside in the Shadowvoid zoo????? How many critters now call my little piece of the world home? Do you really want to know? Well Too bad, I'm going to tell you even if you don't want to know. 18 tarantulas 7 millipedes 1 centipede 1 scorpion Well now you now! What do you think of that? Want to know which one scares me the most huh?? Truthfully, none of them scare me but I do have much respect for both the scorpion and the centipede. Which one do I think is the coolest?? Hard question but I have to all ummm.......all of them. WHich one is the prettiest I have to say the centipede. Which one is the most vile, I have to say the centipede. But that is why I love him so much! Any way, that is what was on my mind and will be on my mind for a good long while. Good night!!

Well, the end of the school year is finally here. I've been out of work since ummm...12:30. Well actually, let me be honest and say that I've been off since 11:35. I didn't get home till around 12:30. I'm enjoying my time off here a little bit. I had a nap, went over to a neighbor's house and saw his invertebrate collection for the first time. I even lost $20.00 bucks which is another whole story. I'm getting another shipment of animals which according to UPS should be here tomorrow. I'm super excited about that.

Okay, so yeah I went over to my neighbor's house and saw his collection. He was a pretty good mix of tarantulas, but he also has some scorpions and he also breeds tropical roaches for food. I use to do the same thing but I've gotten away from that for some reason. I even mentioned breeding my obt with his male. His eyes sort of got big at the idea. Sorry Rick, I did it again! :) OBT stands for orange bitey thing. More correctly called an Orange Baboon Spider. She is a beauty too. We'll call my neighbor Joe for the sake of privacy. He actually held my little girl. I also got some millipedes from him for free. It doesn't get any better than that folks.

Yeah, he held the most aggressive spider in my collection. He popped the top off the tank moved the webs away and very carefully got her out. You know she never once batted a fang at him. My brother said "I bet Joe would hold it." My initial thought was that he wouldn't do it. I sort of knew that he would. She spread out her fangs in big old threat mode and the moment that he got her on his hand, she cooled down. With my luck, I would have been bit.

Question, do posts like these make your skin crawl? If it does, I really don't care because this is my space on the internet. Thanks to a guy on youtube, I now know that I'm the only guy in the gay community that keeps exotic pets. Yeah...he doesn't have spiders and millipedes that I know of but he does have some truly beautiful snakes. I'll post a video of him tomorrow showing off the animals.
