As someone in education, I could care crapless about a teacher's life outside of school, however I do care about what you do around kids. Your students don't have to like you. You don't have to be a good teacher, but there is a line that shouldn't be crossed. It's a fine line. Too many teachers have crossed that line, and we shouldn't be crossing it. I agree we are human and we make mistakes. Some mistakes are bigger than others. Giving booze to students, giving drugs to students, and having sex with students, you are giving up on your students. I might be wrong and I might just be looked at as someone who needs to shut their face. Recent new stories coming out of Indiana sicken me. I'm not a saint far from it. BUT I would never cross the line that causes me to have lapse of morals. I am not the greatest example and I've made some mistakes, BUT I have never crossed LINES that break away from my morals. Sure, I've used language at home is different than I use at school. It's true! Teachers who use their position to take advantage of kids are nothing short of criminals.
