So…My thoughts on Syria not that anyone else really cares, but I'm still putting it out there. I am not anti-Obama just getting this out the way now. After going through years of Iraq and Afghanistan, I am anti-war. While America says that Assad used chemical weapons on his own people. It's been said that Al-Quidea ( sorry for the misspelling ) is backing the rebels in Syria. I don't think a military strike is the answer. I agree with this plan "B" which allows for Assad to get rid of his chemical weapons. Hopefully, it means destroying those weapons safely. I remember watching a small clip of a Senator who said that other countries have used chemical weapons against their citizens and we have not stepped into the conflict. Why now? I guess that is my question too. Russia and Syria both have threatened the USA if we strike. I don't know what kind of threat we might be facing if the strike takes place, but my question is, would it be worth it. Obama may have 14 other countries who stand behind him, but it sounds as if we are still leading the attack. I say let's give plan "B" a chance before we jump into plan "A". It's my understanding that a vote is expected by Wednesday. Congress if you're reading this, know that this citizen teared up when he saw those hurt in the chemical attack, but know that after Iraq and the lack of WMD. I am a bit weary of war. I don't agree with the use of chemical weapons. Something needs to be done and perhaps Putin might put pressure on Syria along with China and their other allies.
