I don't always respond to the comments everyone leaves on the site, BUT I do read everything that comes in. I want to thank everyone who has left a comment. For the most part your comments are great and I've only had one or two that I've had to just not publish. Anyway, I want to go through and respond to your comments. I'm going to change my font and my font size so that it's easier to tell what is what. Also I may not write out all of your comments. I'm going to copy those parts that I wish to respond too.
The first comment comes from a regular reader named Greg. Greg's comment was posted to a particular post called "You're Now A Pervert". -

"Even if many of your readers are already in the choir, there's still the chance someone who really needs to read this will come across your post."
Greg, I have no real idea how many of my readers are new readers or returning readers. I might have to work on that one. There are certain posts on the site, that I hope will make people think. Certainly, this post was one such post. Thanks again for posting. I'm going to clip one bit out of your comment and then move on to the next comment.
I have a sister who "protects" her children from me
How sad that someone in your family acts this way. My brother and his entire family know about me. Well with the expection of my great nephew, I don't think I've influenced his kids at all. I don't discuss a lot around my brother because I don't feel a need too. I would be kind of curious to hear how she protects her kids from you.
This next post comes from the same post. Only this time it comes from another good friend and regular reader.
I think that, if you find yourself sexually attracted to the same gender, you're gay or bi. Even if you hate every other aspect of the LGBT community, you're still gay or bi.
Also, being transgendered is about gender identity and not sexual orientation. One can be a FTM and be a straight, bi, or gay male.
You're preaching to the choir here. Now, you may have stated these things to remind yourself, hmmm?
First off let me admit right now, that there is a lot about sexual orientation and gender identity that I don't understand. Actually, I guess I understand more about sexual orientation than I do about gender identity. I promise you Carlos that I'm gay. I am not out there having sex but I'm still gay. I don't know if there are parts of the LGBT community that I hate. Good point, never really thought about it. Anyone have a part of the LGBT community that they hate or dislike? Yes, I guess I am preaching to the choir. Still, I have to go back to Greg's comment on this one. I get my reminders every time that I see a cute guy. It's about the only reminder that I need to be honest.
Thanks guys!
The next post to which I'm going to be responding to is Taxes, A Twink, Time, and A Tarantula".
This one comes from Rick, who is also a regular visitor to this small blog. His comments were mainly focused on the Tarantula end of things but you'll see the comment below. So here it goes:
Not feeding anything for two weeks! No wonder it died. Can't you have them delivered, or something.
Yes Rick, it's generally not a good idea to not feed for 2 weeks. Certainly under certain conditions they can go two weeks without feeding. I can sit here and scream my mouth off ( not literally ) that I need crickets and it still seems to fall on deaf ears. Yes, as you already know I can have them delivered. Which I've done! Fluker's actually delivers crickets. I've ordered 50 crickets. Which should hopefully last me about 4 weeks! That might be wishful thinking! I did not order any small crickets as I like going out to the pet shops looking for new additions. Since this post they have been feed. I don't want anyone to think that I go out of my to hurt my critters. I actually get a little emotional when my critters pass.
The next comments come from a post called "I'm A Pagan?"
"Great post. Nice to hear someone recognize that stewardship is a responsibility and not just the right to plunder Nature's bounty on a human whim."
Oh by the way this comes from Greg! Greg, I really try to stress in my writings about the natural world to impress upon people that we are just stewards. We have to take an active role in learning about, caring for, and protecting our world. You can't just sit back and wait for someone else to do it and I think we can all imagine what would happen then. Nature's bounty is here for us to use. It is not there to steal from, to plunder, to burn, or to murder. We have to start acting like stewards not cruel owners.
I also want to thank Rick for commenting on this post too.
Rick, commented on another post that I did entitled "The Fat of It". Sometimes, I get a little down because of my weight and my size. Comments like Ricks help to cheer me up.
"Nothing wrong with being small."
I'm living proof that good things come in small packages at least they do in my case. Thanks Rick!
This will be my last post that I comment on. It's entitled "Cleaning and The Spider."
Greg has this to say:
That's quite a mess of web and such in there. No wonder it needed to be cleaned. Where did you keep her while you were cleaning and just how'd you trick her into getting caught? That sounds like a tricky business-glad it went well.
It was a big mess. Literally, she had leftover cricket parts, dead crickets, and broken off pieces of molt laying around. I can hear people saying man this guy is the world worst pet owner that is not the case. Tarantulas can stress out easily some more so than others. The more you mess with the tanks and them the more they stress out. Every 6 months rather the tank needs it or not the animals tanks are emptied cleaned, disinfected, and fresh substrate put in. Apart from that, I generally don't clean the tanks. Unless, there is any kind of a smell. I use paintbrushes or even my fingers to get my tarantulas to move. I only use my fingers on my more gentle spiders. The spider is tricked into going into a cottage cheese container and then the lid is snapped on. It remains there until, I'm done in their tank. The capture end of this operation can be done in a few minutes or take as much as ten to fifteen minutes. It all depends on the spider's mood. The whole tank cleaning process can take me up to a half hour or longer depending on how many I'm cleaning. I will be redoing my tanks once I get my new critters. I might even be swapping some of the tanks around.
Now it's Ricky's turn
This is definitely not something for me. And might I add not very gay...but it takes all types right?
Rick pointed out something that is very true. Keeping tarantulas is not for everyone. I'm actually happy about that. It gives me room to educate people about them. Now about this " not very gay" idea! I'm not quite sure what type of pets are acceptable for a gay person to have. LOL I would love to have a Siamese cat or maybe even a Great Dane. Sounds kind of funny coming from a small person. I love my brother's Great Dane. She is just pure love. Rick is right about one thing though. It does take all types. Can you imagine if everyone was exactly the same? It wouldn't be fun. In fact the world would be pretty dam boring. Rick, I hope you know that I'm angry or upset or offended in way.
Thanks Everyone! I hope you have a great Tuesday. Enjoy your week. I'm out of here. Ohh...keep on commenting I love it.
