This breaks my heart and makes me so angry. We have a long way to go yet. Private, religious schools are never going to want to change. I know, I went to one. There are definitely good people who work in them, but they always seem to be the people without the power.

I know it hurts him a lot to leave his school, his friends, his fav teachers, but I'm glad he did. It's like getting out of a bad relationship. You are so in the middle of it you can't see what it's doing to you. Getting out is painful, and scary. But once you gain some perspective, some distance, you will see that you are better off, and can now be true to yourself.

He's a good kid, who wants to make a difference for others like himself. That is really great, and in time, he'll be ok.

Private schools are just that, and they don't have to accept everyone nor keep anyone. Sadly, they shouldn't be able to send someone packing based on their orientation.

He certainly has a good heart. I wish him the best in all he does.
