It seems that dating apps and dating sites are the hangouts of people seeking our hard-earned money. I am pretty sure they seek out someone who seems desperate. Once they find someone, then they begin the process of buttering them up. Once the guy is buttered up then they throw the line out there. Yes, the line, it might be something like “I’m in such and such a country and had my passport stolen along with all my money” or “I need help with my business.”. If it doesn’t work then they try to butter you up again or they try to lay on a bit of guilt. I think that I’ve talked about this before and it sucks. One thing it was done sadly is made so that I don’t trust people like I use too. If a guy messages me and he says that he is from the U.S. but the way he types is off from the way an American would talk, then I start to tear apart his story. It was brought back up today by someone that I’m pretty sure was in the process of hooking me. If every word out your mouth is “Handsome” during the conversation, to me it just seems fake. If someone that should be on the pages of a magazine, then yeah, I have reason to doubt your intentions, and I might just question you. Has anyone else been taken a hit from a scammer like this?
